At the age of 16, a student from Starkville Academy passed away. The funeral for Walker Farriel Montgomery was held on December 5 after his death on December 1.
His obituary noted Montgomery’s academic and athletic prowess as well as his “innate and inexhaustible understanding and passion for the outdoors.”
His parents and three siblings have survived him.
Starkville Academy described the tenth-grader as “kind-hearted, hardworking, and a great friend” in a message on their Facebook page, adding that they are praying for his family at this difficult time.
